This award is presented to those who have made inspiring contributions in the fields of education, healthcare, environment, and humanitarian service.

Among the key dignitaries honoured was Ramkumar Pal, President of Nehru Yuva Kendra, who has been a relentless force in mobilizing youth for nation-building. His leadership has spearheaded impactful initiatives including drug de-addiction drives, environmental awareness campaigns, education empowerment, and health missions. Seasoned contemporary and abstract artist, Rritu Goel channels her spiritual experiences and meditative insights into vivid and meaningful canvases. Her work often revisits Indian mythology through a modern lens, blending vibrant abstraction with philosophical calm. With over 20 years of exhibition experience, her art continues to reflect themes of peace, positivity, and cultural introspection.

Rosy Guniti

Artist by passion and profession, Rosy Guniti holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology and began her professional journey in the sciences. However, her true calling led her away from the laboratory and into the vibrant world of art. For Rosy, art is a soulful connection — a language that speaks of joy, emotion, and the colorful journey of life.

Her artistic practice is rooted in the belief that color mirrors the many shades of human experience, and she brings this philosophy to life through her expressive use of canvas, acrylics, and textured finishes. Over the years, she has explored various mediums, but textured acrylics on canvas have remained closest to her heart.

As both an artist and art educator, Rosy finds deep fulfillment in connecting with nature and engaging with people from around the world. Her art is not just a form of expression — it is a celebration of freedom, inner peace, and soulful resonance.

Jyoti Choradiya

A self-taught artist and co-founder of SAF, Jyoti Choradiya’s emotionally charged and symbol-rich paintings embody the essence of harmony and chaos. Drawing from her diverse life across India and abroad, her use of bold colors and flowing lines invites the viewer to explore the connections between self, society, and emotion. Her work is a visual diary of introspection and raw, spiritual exploration.

Itee Jain

An IT professional by training and an artist by heart, Itee Jain brings an impressionist approach to her works, capturing the fleeting beauty of nature. Inspired by Claude Monet, she combines pointillism and mosaic-like techniques in watercolors and acrylics, focusing on the intersection of light, color, and consciousness. Her goal is to make viewers more aware of the natural world and its delicate nuances.

“The Art of Now” is more than an exhibition. It is a convergence of voices, visions, and values. Through the diverse works of Rritu Goel, Rosy Guniti, Jyoti Chordia, and Itee Jain, the show invites viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect — with art, with nature, and with the self. From May 13 to 19, 2025, Mumbai’s iconic Jehangir Art Gallery will host ‘Thread Story’, a solo exhibition by Pune-based eminent artist and designer Alka Rode Held in Gallery No. 3 and open daily from 11 AM to 7 PM, the exhibition invites viewers into a world where fabric, thread, and design converge to tell powerful, textured stories.

This show was inaugurated on 13th May 2025 by distinguished Design Educator and Calligrapher Hon. Dr. Santosh Kshirsagar former Dean of J.J. institute of Applied of Art, Mumbai

Alka Rode, a trained graphic designer and fine artist, moves beyond the boundaries of traditional media in this compelling collection. Using fabric scraps and running stitches, she constructs compositions that are not only visually engaging but emotionally resonant. Her work represents a unique synthesis of art and craft — transforming everyday materials into a narrative language that is both personal and universally relatable.

A defining feature of Thread Story is Alka’s extraordinary ability to see potential in the discarded. Small, seemingly non-useful pieces of used clothing — often overlooked as scraps — are placed thoughtfully on the canvas, each stitch guided by her artistic vision. What begins as waste in the eyes of many becomes a meaningful and intricate composition under her hands. That transformation, from ordinary to extraordinary, is the quiet magic of Alka Rode’s artistry.

At the heart of Thread Story lies an exploration of womanhood. Alka portrays the feminine experience through multiple lenses — from divine archetypes to the contemporary woman — each piece offering a new perspective on identity, strength, and emotion. These themes are expressed not through paint or pencil, but through layers of fabric stitched together with deliberate care, giving each artwork a tactile and intimate dimension.

In addition to thematic portraits, the exhibition features a series of abstract compositions. These works reflect Alka’s keen design sensibility, honed through years of experience and formal education, including a G.D. Art, an Art Teacher Diploma, and an M.A. in Fine Arts. Her command over color theory, texture, and visual rhythm is evident throughout the show. Each stitch becomes a mark of continuity, connection, and contemplation — turning fragments into wholes, silence into conversation.

“The thread is my line, and fabric is my medium,” Alka explains. “What I create is not just an image — it’s a visual story stitched together with thought and emotion.”

Thread Story is more than an exhibition — it is an invitation to see art through a new lens, where thread carries meaning and fabric holds memory. The show stands as a bold example of innovation in contemporary Indian art, offering a sensory and symbolic experience that resonates long after the viewer has left the gallery.

आदिदेव एंटरटेनमेंट व शुजाय म्यूजिक प्रा.लि. प्रस्तुत फिल्म निर्देशक धनंजय तिवारी और फिल्म निर्माता कृष्णा ज. हलवाई द्वारा बनाई जा रही भोजपुरी फिल्म ‘प्रोडक्शन नं०1’ शुभ मुहूर्त करके शूटिंग शुरू कर दी गई है। बता दें कि विधिवत मंत्रोच्चारण, पूजा, अर्चना करके उत्तर प्रदेश के जिला भदोही के महाराजगंज में फिल्म ‘प्रोडक्शन नं०1’ की शूटिंग भव्य पैमाने पर शुरू कर दी गई है। इस शुभ अवसर पर खासमखास विशिष्ट अतिथियों सहित फ़िल्म के निर्माता, निर्देशक, कलाकार सहित फ़िल्म की पूरी यूनिट मौजूद थे। फ़िल्म का शुभ मुहूर्त संपन्न होने और शूटिंग शुरू होने पर सभी ने एक दूसरे को शुभकामना और बधाई दिया।

विदित हो कि फ़िल्म निर्माता कृष्णा ज. हलवाई ने फ़िल्म के बारे में पूछे गए सवाल के जवाब बताया कि ‘फ़िल्म की कहानी अभी रिवील नहीं करूँगा, बल्कि यह जरूर बताना चाहता हूं कि सिनेमा समाज का आईना होता है। जो फिल्मों के माध्यम से सिखाया व बताया जाता है, वह दुनियां की कोई किताब नहीं सिखा सकती है। इसी बात को ध्यान में रखते हुए हम इस फ़िल्म का निर्माण कर रहे हैं। यह फिल्म दर्शकों का मनोरंजन करने के साथ-साथ समाज में जागरूकता भी लाने का काम करेगी।’

वहीं फिल्म निर्देशक धनंजय तिवारी ने बताया कि ‘आज कल बन रही सास-बहू वाली भोजपुरी फिल्मों से परे समाज में संदेश देने वाली फैमिली ड्रामा फिल्म का हम निर्माण कर रहे हैं। इस फ़िल्म के जरिये ये बताने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है कि हमारी यह फिल्म एक गाथा के रूप में जानी जाएगी। उम्मीद है कि हम दर्शकों की उम्मीद पर खरा उतरेंगे।’

Mohammed Al Sharqi Witnesses The Launch Of The Fujairah International Oud Forum With The Participation Of International Artists And Musicians

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, witnessed the launch of the “Fujairah International Oud Forum”, organised by the Fujairah Fine Arts Academy from 5 to 7 May 2025, under the slogan “One Oud, Multiple Cultures”, at the Fujairah Creative Cultural Centre.

His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah stressed the importance of the forum in embodying the Emirate’s vision of supporting culture and arts, and enhancing its presence in regional and international forums in these sectors, in addition to honouring the distinguished artistic experiences at the level of the state and the world, pointing to the role of music in enhancing communication between peoples.

His Highness noted the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, and His Highness’s support for cultural and artistic activities in the emirate, based on its role in building the promotion of cultural openness among humans, and consolidating the position of the UAE as a global centre for creativity and coexistence.

The launch ceremony of the forum included a huge musical performance presented by an orchestra of 50 musicians of multiple nationalities, who presented a charming musical watch that mixed different styles such as Spanish flamenco, rock, and oriental Arabic music, along with Indian, Uzbek, Azerbaijani and Turkish styles, in a scene that reflects the spirit of diversity and global cultural openness.

On its second and third days, the forum will also witness individual and group presentations, in addition to workshops and seminars highlighting the history of the oud instrument and its various schools, in addition to hosting three of the most prominent Oud makers in the Arab world and Turkey, to showcase their skills and exchange experiences with the participants.

The event is also an exhibition dedicated to artisans and Oud makers from different countries, which enhances opportunities for artistic and cultural exchange. The forum is an important annual station for artists and those interested in oriental music, and emphasises Fujairah’s commitment to investing in culture as part of its comprehensive development vision.

The ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, His Excellency Ali Obaid Al Hafiti, General Manager of the Fujairah Fine Arts Academy, and a number of prominent figures in the field of music, culture and the arts.

Where she has been honored with Mrs. World L’Oreal India Award and Crown. Mr., Mrs. and Miss 2025 International Ramp and Fashion Show was organized in Thailand. Shahin Parween was the winner of this show. The organizers of this fashion show are Parth Kotak and Sunita Bawa. First of all, the show was organized in India, in which many models participated. There were many rounds in this ramp and fashion show, Shahin Parween was the winner of this show which lasted for about a week. After selection in this show, about fourteen finalists were sent to Thailand. There too the fashion show took place in three to four rounds and Shaheen Parveen got the title of Mrs. World L’Oreal India 2025.

Shahin told her experience during this show that it was a very good fashion show. This was her first fashion show which took place on such a big level. Shaheen further said that she got the support of organizer Parth Kotak, Sunita Bawa and her team along with her co-models. Being a part of this fashion show was very pleasant and entertaining.
