Realms of Peace – IV : The Meditative Art of Bhaskar Singha

The world of art is often seen as a sanctuary—an alternate realm where beauty, thought, and emotion converge. Few artists embody this idea more completely than Bhaskar Singha, whose upcoming solo exhibition, “Realms of Peace – IV,” promises to be both a visual and spiritual journey.

The exhibition was inaugurated on Tuesday, 15th April 2025 by Sudipto Sen, noted film director of The Kerala Story and Bastar; Mr. Mohan Thombre, retired IAS officer; Mrs. Sujata Bali of Miran Production,  Mr. Rakesh Gupta, Director of Routes 2 Roots NGO; and Mr. Sujit Das, Executive Vice President – Creative, Turmeriq.

Bhaskar Singha is not merely a painter—he is a seeker, a chronicler of life’s simplicity, and a spiritual explorer. Over the last 28 years, he has developed a unique visual language, initially through watercolour, and later through acrylic on canvas. His early watercolours are noted for their distinct layering technique—ten to twelve translucent washes that often resemble stencil work or the wax resist textures of batik.

As his journey progressed, so did his themes. Singha often chooses issue-based subjects—child labour, devotion, psychology, Sanatan philosophy—transforming them into meditative reflections on canvas. His deep connection with the Ramakrishna Mission infused his art with a stronger spiritual dimension, and the influence of Sanatan Sanskriti became increasingly central to his work.

Singha’s artworks are rich in symbolism and atmosphere. One can sense the cool breeze on a beach, the rustling of leaves, or the searing heat of a summer day—each natural element crafted with emotional nuance. In works like ‘Youth,’he portrays the fire and competitive spirit of young people across genders, highlighting the evolving roles of women in society. In another series, inspired by the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, he created pieces such as ‘Run for Clean India,’ capturing the ripple effect of one individual’s actions in inspiring community change.

Amit Gautam, a distinguished visual artist, is celebrated for his exceptional command over the watercolor medium—a form both fluid and elusive, requiring a rare finesse. A postgraduate from National Institute of Design, Amit brings a unique take on contemporary art.

His works have been showcased across prominent galleries both in India and internationally, including the Fall Brook Art Centre, Middletown Arts Centre, Mooresevevilla Arts Centre, Pryor Art Gallery, and the Michelson Museum of Art in the United States.

Watercolor, by its very nature, demands both patience and precision. To coax such a mercurial medium into form is an art in itself—and in Gautam’s work, viewers are treated to a masterclass in this delicate balance. His portraits, the highlight of this exhibition, are imbued with quiet intensity and a profound sensitivity to human expression. Faces in his paintings do not merely exist—they speak, they reveal, they evoke.

Gautam’s fascination with the human condition—particularly the nuances of the face—forms the emotional core of his artistic journey. The human figure has remained a consistent theme in his explorations, serving both as subject and metaphor. In his portraits, each face becomes a narrative—etched in color, shadow, and silence.

This exhibition is not a declaration, but an invitation—to experience the poetic drama of light and pigment, of flowing color harnessed within form. The works are as unrestrained as they are composed—a celebration of color, contemplation, and craft.

His paintings strike a rare harmony between conceptual precision and expressive freedom.

The exhibition is open to all, from 11 AM to 7 PM daily, and admission is free of charge. Art connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike are warmly invited to witness this exquisite confluence of technique and soul, and to immerse themselves in a visual experience that is both profound and poetic.

हर शनिवार – भक्तों का विशाल संगम

गजासीन शनि धाम, इंदौर में प्रत्येक शनिवार, प्रातः काल से रात्रि तक भक्तों का सैलाब उमड़ता है।

प्रातः 9:00 बजे आरती के साथ दिन की शुरुआत होती है।

विभिन्न पवित्र कुण्डों और नदियों के जल से शनिदेव का अभिषेक किया जाता है।

रात्रि में 8:30 बजे सामूहिक शनि चालीसा पाठ, भजन-कीर्तन और आरती का भव्य आयोजन होता है।

इसके उपरांत, सैकड़ों भक्त दादू महाराज से निःशुल्क परामर्श प्राप्त कर अपने जीवन के संकटों से मुक्ति का मार्गदर्शन पाते हैं।

भक्तजन शनिदेव को तिल और तेल अर्पण, दीपदान, श्रीफल चढ़ाकर, इच्छापूर्ति स्तंभ पर रक्षा सूत्र बाँधते हैं तथा मनोकामना पूर्ति होने पर प्रसादी अर्पित करते हैं।

धर्म के साथ समाज सेवा का अद्भुत संगम

संत डॉ. दादू महाराज न केवल धर्म के क्षेत्र में, अपितु सामाजिक कार्यों में भी अग्रणी हैं।

मुंबई दि.३: महाराष्ट्र चित्रपट,रंगभूमी आणि सांस्कृतिक विकास महामंडळाच्या वित्तीय सल्लागार वमुख्यलेखावित्तधिकारी पदी चित्रलेखा खातू-रावराणे यांची शासनाने नियुक्ती केली आहे. सोमवारी त्यांनी पदाचा पदभार स्वीकारला. यापूर्वी त्या उप अधिदान व लेखा अधिकारी म्हणून अधिदान व लेखा कार्यालय मुंबई येथे कार्यरत होत्या.

श्रीमती चित्रलेखा यांची  २०११ साली महाराष्ट्र लोकसेवा आयोगाच्या परीक्षेतून महाराष्ट्र वित्त व लेखा सेवा या संवर्गात सहायक संचालक म्हणून निवड झाली. या काळात देयके, निधी, व्यवस्थापन, लेखा इ.  विषयामध्ये त्यांनी काम केले. त्यानंतर २०१६ ते २०१९ या कालावधीत वित्तीय सल्लागार व उप सचिव,अन्न नागरी पुरवठा येथे सहायक संचालक अर्थसंकल्प म्हणून त्यांनी कार्यभार सांभाळलेला आहे.  तसेच २०१९ ते २०२३ या कालावधीत कोषागार अधिकारी ( राज्यस्तरीय ) शासकीय जमा लेखांकन प्रणाली येथे उत्तम सेवा बजावली आहे. दरम्यान त्यांनी सार्वत्रिक निवडणूकामध्ये मुंबई शहर विभागात निवडणूक खर्च समन्वयक अधिकारी/ उप अधिकारी म्हणूनही कामकाज केले आहे.

श्रीमती चित्रलेखा यांची वित्तीय कामावर उत्तम पकड असून प्रशासकीय कामाचीही त्यांना जाण आहे. विशेष म्हणजे त्या उत्तम लेखिका,निवेदिका आणि गायिका असून शासनाच्या सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमात त्यांचा सक्रिय सहभाग राहिला आहे. महामंडळात वित्तीय शिस्त आणण्याबरोबर लेखा विषयक कामकाजाला गतिमानता आणण्यासाठी प्रयत्नशील राहणार असल्याचे श्रीमती चित्रलेखा यांनी सांगितले आहे.

India, 6^th August: — The World’s first mega musical on Shri Krishna – “Rajadhiraaj: Love Life Leela” conceptualised and created by Dhanraj Nathwani is set to captivate audiences with a one of its kind theatrical experiences, bringing to life the magnanimity and benevolence of Shri Krishna. Set to unfold at the (NMACC) Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre’s – Grand Theatre the musical will have a runtime of 120 minutes, with shows running daily from August 15^th to September 1^st, 2024.

Inviting audiences to experience the magic and majesty of Krishna in this unprecedented musical, Dhanraj Nathwani, said, “Creating ‘Rajadhiraaj: Love Life Leela’ has been a journey of devotion and passion for me. With its rich storytelling, stunning visuals, and soul-stirring music, Executive Producer – Bhoomi Nathwani guarantees an immersive experience. Penned by the renowned Indian lyricist and screenwriter, Padma Shri Awardee Prasoon Joshi, the musical offers audiences a journey into the lesser-known tales of Shri Krishna. It beautifully depicts his transitions from Vraj to Mewar and Mathura to Dwarka.

Under the direction of Shruti Sharma, a seasoned theatre director with expertise in musical theatre, the production showcases the talents of over 180 artists, vividly bringing to life the convergence of Shri Krishna’s divine forms, as his Shrinathji and Dwarkadheesh swaroops are portrayed together for the first time in a musical play. From Krishna’s playful escapades as the mischievous cowherd in Gokul, endearing himself to the village folk, to his profound role as the wise charioteer imparting the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, the musical captures the essence of Krishna’s multifaceted persona in a spellbinding manner.

Its allure is heightened by a soul-stirring soundtrack containing 20 original songs composed by ace music composer duo Sachin-Jigar. The music blends Western symphonic elements, specially recorded in Budapest, with Indian classical music, along with Haveli Sangeet, Rajasthani and Gujarati folk, and Hindustani semi-classical genres.

Award-winning Bollywood production designer Omung Kumar intricately weaves scenes that transport viewers to ancient India. The show is creatively produced by seasoned professionals Parthiv Gohil and Viral Rachh, with National Award-winning writer Raam Mori providing in-depth story research.

Choreographers Bertwin D’Souza and Shampa Gopikrishna’s exquisite dance sequences, performed by over 60 dancers, further immerse viewers in the vibrant world of Krishna. Shampa Gopikrishna continues the legacy of her late father, the legendary Kathak maestro and choreographer Natraj Shri Gopikrishna.

Celebrated costume designer Neeta Lulla, known for her work on numerous iconic Indian films, brings mythical characters to life with over 1,800 intricately designed costumes, highlighting the divine playfulness, bravery, and philosophical depth of the characters.

बघेली बोली के साथ दिखेगा स्थानीय कलाकारों का हुनर

क्षेत्रीय कलाकारों को मौका देने के लिए बनाई गई, फिल्म सतना के पास हुई है शूटिंग

इंदौर. स्थानीय कलाकारों के हुनर को दुनिया के सामने लाने के लिए अविनाश फिल्म्स और मेक्सन बैटरी के बैनर तले कॉमेडी फिल्म ‘कुंवारापुर’ बनाई है। फिल्म के डायरेक्टर राजेंद्र राठौर की यह पहली थियेटर रिलीज फिल्म है, जो 9 अगस्त को सिनेमाघर में आ रही है। फिल्म के मुख्य कलाकार असरानी, विक्रम कोचर, अविनाश तिवारी, अन्नपूर्णा द्विवेदी, गरिमा अग्रवाल, उर्मिला शर्मा के साथ स्थानीय कलाकारों ने भी शानदार अभिनय किया है। फिल्म के निर्माता लक्ष्मण बर्फा है। रतलाम के सैलाना के रहने वाले डायरेक्टर राजेंद्र राठौर मुंबई में काम कर रहे हैं। वह अब तक 50 विज्ञापन फिल्में और 10 म्यूजिक वीडियो के साथ शॉर्ट फिल्म और वेब सीरीज बना चुके हैं। उनके निर्देशन में सोनू सूद, हेमा मालिनी, उर्वशी रौतेला, भाग्यश्री, गौहर खान जैसे कई कलाकार काम कर चुके हैं।

डायरेक्टर राजेंद्र राठौर ने बताया की – अभी तक मध्य प्रदेश का कोई रीजनल सिनेमा नहीं है। इस फिल्म के माध्यम से मालवा और निमाड़ को प्रेजेंट किया है। यह फिल्म मध्य प्रदेश के क्षेत्रीय सिनेमा की शुरुआत है। इस फिल्म के माध्यम से हम स्थानीय कलाकारों को पहचान दिलाना चाहते हैं ताकि इन्हें भी बड़े पर्दे पर काम करने का मौका मिले। मध्य प्रदेश में युवाओं में प्रतिभा की कमी नहीं है लेकिन हर कोई मुंबई जाकर अपना सपना पूरा नहीं कर सकता इसलिए इस क्षेत्र में फिल्म सिटी बनना चाहिए जिससे इन्हें बाहर नहीं जाना पड़े।

फिल्म की एक्ट्रेस अन्नपूर्णा द्विवेदी ने बताया कि – फिल्म की शूटिंग मध्य प्रदेश के सतना के पास उमरिया और खमरिया गांव में की गई है। इसकी भाषा में भी क्षेत्रीय बोली सुनने को मिलेगी। इसे मध्य प्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़, महाराष्ट्र और उत्तर प्रदेश में रिलीज किया जाएगा। फिल्म के एक्टर अविनाश तिवारी बघेलखंड के सुपरस्टार है, यह पारिवारिक और कॉमेडी फिल्म है जिसमें दहेज प्रथा के खिलाफ संदेश दिया गया है।

फिल्म के एक्ट्रेस अविनाश तिवारी ने बताया कि- कुंवारापुर फिल्म की कहानी एक गांव की है, जहां पिछले 10 सालो से किसी की शादी नहीं हुई है क्योंकि गांव शापित है है। हमारे हीरो पप्पू की गलती से शादी तय हो जाती है और पूरे गांव को बारात में जाना है। इस बात को हास्य के माध्यम से कहानी में पिरोया गया है। दूसरी और फिल्म की नायिका मांगलिक है। उसका विवाह गलती से पप्पू से होता है। दोनों पक्ष एक–दूसरे से अपनी असलियत छिपाते है। यही फिल्म का तानाबाना है।

मुंबई। अध्यक्ष रश्मिकांत संघवी द्वारा रविवार 30 जून 2024 को मुकेश पटेल ऑडिटोरियम मुम्बई में एक कार्यक्रम में स्थापना समारोह का आयोजन किया गया जहां चेतन देसाई को 3141 का डिस्ट्रिक्ट गवर्नर बनाया गया, उन्हें 2024 – 2025 के लिए डिस्ट्रिक्ट कोर टीम में शामिल किया गया। हरीश चन्द्रणा को बोरीवली रोट्री क्लब का अध्यक्ष बनाया गया और 2024 – 2025 के लिए उन्हें बोर्ड ऑफ डायरेक्टर्स में शामिल किया गया। कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि ए एस वेंकटेश थे।
