Mumbai, May 10, 2025 — In a powerful letter filled with national pride and emotion, the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) has expressed deep gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Armed Forces for the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, a recent military operation hailed as a decisive response to a brutal terrorist attack.

The letter, signed by IMPPA President Abhay Sinha, conveys the sentiments of India’s film production community in the wake of what it called “a brilliantly planned and executed” operation. The association described Operation Sindoor not just as a tactical success, but as “the roar of Bharat Mata herself”, representing the spirit and resolve of a fearless and united India.

Operation Sindoor: A Turning Point

The background to this emotional tribute lies in a recent terrorist attack that claimed innocent Indian lives. The nation was in mourning, and expectations were high for strong action. The government’s response came swiftly in the form of Operation Sindoor, a military strike carried out with “extraordinary precision”, targeting those responsible.

The letter highlights how the Indian populace had complete faith in PM Modi’s assurance that the culprits would not go unpunished. That faith, IMPPA says, was not only upheld but was thunderously realized across borders.

A Salute to National Defense

IMPPA emphasized the significance of India’s robust defense system, praising the armed forces for their flawless coordination and preparedness in protecting the nation. It stated that the operation showcased India’s defense strength — where not just missiles but morale and national unity soared.

“For years, we have tolerated threats to our peace,” the letter notes, “but now, those who challenge our safety know the consequences.” It added that this action has instilled greater confidence among citizens—from remote villages to metropolitan cities—making them feel prouder and safer.

Cultural Fraternity Stands with the Nation

This rare and high-level show of support from the film industry body is symbolic of how Operation Sindoor has united various sections of society. The IMPPA, representing one of India’s most influential creative sectors, has firmly aligned itself with national sentiment.

The letter concludes with a stirring salute to the Prime Minister, the armed forces, and the spirit of “New India — fearless, united and forever proud.”

Noida, 9th May 2025: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and Asian Law College, in partnership with Cyber Humane, successfully hosted a high-impact Landmark Conclave on Digital Dignity at the Asian Law College campus. The event brought together top legal minds, cybersecurity experts, diplomats, and educators to address the most pressing concerns of our digital age under the compelling theme:
“Securing the Digital Frontier – Addressing Cyber Threats, Misinformation, and Privacy in the Age of AI, Deepfakes, and Global Surveillance.”

Dr. Deepika Saini, who delivered the vote of thanks on behalf of Asian Law College, All dignitaries were honoured with commemorative mementos in recognition of their contributions to digital ethics and national dialogue on cyber governance.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah remarked, “As technology reshapes our societies, we must ensure that legal frameworks and ethical standards evolve at the same pace. This conclave is a step toward creating awareness, facilitating dialogue, and driving action to uphold the dignity of individuals in digital spaces.”

Noida, April 30, 2025: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), in collaboration with the Embassy of Ecuador in India, formally inaugurated the Indo Ecuador Film and Cultural Forum at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City. This initiative aims to deepen cultural, artistic, and people-to-people ties between the Republic of Ecuador and the Republic of India through films, media, and performing arts.

The launch ceremony was graced by H.E. Fernando Bucheli, Ambassador of Ecuador to India, who officially released the poster of the Forum at the international headquarters of ICMEI. Addressing the audience, Ambassador Bucheli stated, “This forum will play a significant role in enhancing understanding, friendship, and cooperation between the people of Ecuador and India. We look forward to a vibrant exchange of art, culture, and cinematic creativity.”

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chancellor of AAFT University, welcomed the initiative with great enthusiasm. Dr. Ashvini Persaud of New York, co-founder of pop-ups International Museum of The Saree (IM of The Saree) and Green Fashion, Art & Design Museum (Green FAD), was recently named one of the top 30 influential women of Indian heritage by Mid-day. In an Mid-day’s interview, Business Advisor Ashvini humbly highlighted the organizations’ efforts to empower, educate, and archive the legacy of sarees, related Indian apparels and the people who honor them. She also provided advice to women and entrepreneurs.

IM of The Saree showcases cultural, historic and vintage traditional and contemporary Indian attire beyond the saree, like salwar kameez, lehengas, sherwanis, dhotis and fashion accessories, engaging individuals and families through exhibits, video interviews and performance.
